Many competitors promise “impossible to counterfeit.” We don't. And that's on purpose — it's what makes us trustworthy.
Autentiva guarantees the authenticity of the seller→delivery link: that the item the seller sealed and shipped is the one that reached you, with no swap along the way — postal service, carrier or delivery app. Each unit gets a unique code on the seal; when you scan it, you see, in the seller's brand, whether you received what they sent.
Autentiva does not claim the product is original from the factory — that's the seller's responsibility, not a QR code's. And it does not promise the code is “unclonable”: any image printed at ordinary resolution can, in theory, be photographed and copied. Anyone who promises otherwise is selling marketing, not technique.
Security doesn't come from a “magic” feature on the label, but from a probabilistic signal that runs on our server: each unit has a unique code, and we count how many times and from where it was read. A cloned code gives itself away through the number of reads and reads in incompatible places. It's a strong sign of swapping or cloning — reported as suspicion, never as absolute certainty.
